We had some ideas of what type of places we wanted to visit and Christopher guided us to them explaining other buildings and neighborhoods in Marseille as we walked by them. We visited several galleries and Le Couvent - a community garden and artist residency development in a former convent and then to the nearby La Friche Belle de Mai. It is a former tobacco factory that has been converted into a contemporary art space. Christopher was an engaging guide taking us to the sites we were interested in. Along the way, we ran into several their artist friends and colleagues who complimented their work.
